Being slow in academics and not knowing what it really was. I focused my attention on music and sports....that is what made since to me at the time. As I grew older, my hearing developed and I had to work harder than others to catch up to be "normal". I excelled in music and in sports but was below par in academics.....

Learning to be dumb, I am slow and I am numb.
I guess this is me now, it’s hard to except but I will do my best.
My father challenge my every move, he made me better, and my mother too.
Before I knew it I was just like you, maybe better because I was broken in two.
